An Afghan For Mia R.

Little Miss Mia was born on July 12, 2007 and passed away on April 24, 2008.

Here is the afghan I made in Mia's memory:

And here it is, along with a picture of the adorable little angel!

Per Mia's Mom:
Thank you so much for Mia's Memory Afghan. It's beautiful, just beautiful- and huge! I put a photo of sweet Mia on it because sadly I can't post a picture with Mia. We can't wait to get the one for Julius. Thanks so much for your work- it means more than you know.
You can read all about Miss Mia on her Mom's blog, Mia Hat Eins Mehr (while the blog is written in German, you can translate it automatically in most web browsers.) And congratulations to Mia's family on the recent arrival of her new little brother, Julius!

An Afghan Of Their Own Fund

This fund has been created through The T21 Traveling Afghan Project in order to provide afghans for children with Down syndrome who are ill or facing other challenges.

This money goes towards purchasing yarn and covering the shipping costs of the afghan. You may make a donation towards a specific child or donate to the fund in general.

When you donate, the child will be sent a card with your name on it and you will be informed as to which child your donation provided an afghan to.

If you are interesting in donating to An Afghan Of Their Own Fund, please contact me at chandosjoy@gmail.com
